How much is the cost for Consignment?
There is no upfront fee with Maverick Motor Cars that you have to pay for your car's consignment. We work on a commission basis, which is 6% of the sales price or a minimum of $ 2,500.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes, there is a Consignment Agreement to sign, which only commits you to honor our commission if we successfully found you a buyer for the car. It will also authorize us to advertise your car in various media, which you can check-off if you do not like certain media to present your car.
Do I need to pay for Advertising?
This is an option but not a requirement. We recommend advertising because we see it as an effective way to promote the sale of your vehicle. If you like a specific publication to feature your vehicle, we offer our dealer-discount rate to you. We will, however, post info & pictures of your car on our Web Site at no charge.
Can I ask any price for my car? Yes, However, we will not take consignments if the asking price is out of line with current market condition. It does not help you or us to ask for too much in a very vibrant market. Prices adjust every month and we can give you a realistic idea what you should be able to expect for your car.
Can I consign a car even though I am not close to Delray Beach Florida and the office of Maverick Motor Cars?
Since we sell cars throughout the United States , we may just have the right buyer a street down from you. Buyers for Exotic and High Line vehicles will travel in most cases to find the right car. You should be prepared to have your car sent to a Pre-Purchase-Inspection at the discretion and cost of the potential buyer. Shipping can be arranged through our contacts from anywhere to anywhere in the US .
